that this is probably causing a lot of these mental health symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Dr. Raj Shekhar Kanali, a local Novant Health psychiatrist, has studied this topic and seen the impact that social media addiction can have on kids.

He recently co-authored a paper on the use of TikTok and the impact on mental health.

I would say that the social media in general is inherently not good or bad because for the young people, it is actually helping find friends, find the communities and exploring their interest.
