Notion Thief

That's good.

Like, basically, we're running cards like Notion Thief or Leovold that stop our opponents drawing the cards, rather than the kind of win-conny, like, Shieldrid, deal damage style of effects.

So yeah, for me, this is more a wheels card for a lower-powered or more budget cube because wheel decks are awesome, and just having wheels in cubes is awesome because it just opens up possibilities for doing cool and interesting things.

But we have enough of a gap between the most powerful and... and like budget cubes nowadays um also i do actually i mentioned ninjas earlier i do actually really like really like this in a win in a ninja deck because it it being a flying evasive creature that enters prepared with a wheel attached to it means that we can play this wheel attack ninjitsu it back to our hand and do it again that seems quite tempting to me like especially if you are supporting that ninja deck but um what do you think of the chaser james

sure uh so next we have the honorable mentions we were going to talk about the clue stones in here um but we talked about them up at the top of the show because i think it was important to sculpt what was going on uh in the limited environment but instead we have one honorable mention no cards are banned nor were they restricted from this set because like we mentioned pretty bad uh but we do have a game changer in the form of notion thief uh notion thief is a four mana creature in blue black it's a human rogue with flash a three one and it says if an opponent would draw a card except the first one they draw in each of their draw steps instead that player skips that draw and you draw a card What a pisser.

God, what

a miserable card.

I mean, the biggest thing that separates this card from something like a Hullbreacher, which is a card that says if they would draw a card outside of the first one, they don't and you make a treasure, is that Hullbreacher's three mana is mono blue and has two toughness as well.

That's not nothing.

But Notion Thief is still legal in this format.

uh has a little more going against it and also just like we know this card's a real big jerk like notion thief was a big jerk when this card came out there were discussions of people wanting this card banned basically from the introduction of dragon space they're like this card sucks we hate this
