If you're gonna hunt with a 6.5 Creedmoor, use hunting ammo designed for hunting, a Core-Lokt, a, you know, Winchester X-Point, a Nosler Partition.

Y'all ever shot a 22 Nosler?

The same thing with a 28 Nosler.

Uh, both of them are nasty.

Um, I didn't have the best luck with a, a 22 Nosler as far as coyote hunting.

I had...

It was probably shot placement, but a lot of runners, and, uh, I got rid of that thing fast.

So I had to define that to myself, so, "Okay, what's success?" There was another cartridge on scene, very in vogue, actually a family of cartridges.

It would be the Nosler Series cartridges, and specifically like 26, 28 Nos were pretty hot to trot.

We were, we were getting a lot of people inquiring about those cartridges at the time, and they were kind of the, the new hotness at the moment, specifically the 26 Nos.

And six-fives, that bullet diameter in particular, was hot back then.

Like, I was, I didn't, I couldn't afford QuickLOAD at the time, um, and I was unwilling to, to spend that money on QuickLOAD to, to model stuff, and, and Gordon's reloading tool wasn't something I, I don't believe it existed at that point, or I wasn't privy to it.

So, like, everything that I had kinda dreamed up, I was just looking at load data, whether it was from Hodgdon or whether that was from RCBS or Hornady or Barnes or, or whoever was putting out published load data on various cartridges, just trying to kinda get a feel for what powder types and their volumes go into what cases and, and their volumes in order to generate X, Y, or Z velocities, and with what bullet weights.

And so what I essentially did was I took the relationship between 260 Remington and 6.5 Creedmoor, and then I applied it to 26 Nosler.

So I basically redacted the top, I'm gonna say, quarter of the 26 Nosler's case, changed some geometry, very subtle, um, between, um, neck and shoulder junction, shoulder-body junction, body taper.

They have like in their custom shop, like their custom ammo shop.

Every once in a while, they make some ammo for it.

Th- there's a ton of, a lot of guys, a lot of, uh, especially, uh, guys who've been deer hunting for a long time will talk about, like, anything that has a polymer tip bullet is a ballistic tip.

Well, Nosler has, like, the OG ballistic tip.

That's what's called the ballistic tip.

S- what got those were a lot of guys didn't like them ver- versus, like, a traditional cupping core bul- like a Remington Core-Lokt-

... w- wait.

No, it was a Federal Ammunition with a Nosler bullet, um, with a, a Nosler with an AccuBond.

I don't remember all the details.
