Northwestern Wildcats

They won 2-1 over an awesome team.

I mean, it's just the team, you know, a team being number six and being a rival and coming in with everything to play for, and the Cats just showing why they're the number one team in the country.

But then on the backs of that, they, the Cats suffered their first loss of the season, and it was a, a weird game where it kind of shows you, like, what can happen in a, a low s- scoring sport like this.

[smacks lips] They went on the road to number 10 Princeton, and with 1:13 left in the game, they were up one-nothing, and Princeton tied it on a penalty, um, and then won it in overtime.

And those, like, those are the margins.

It's like the Cats have been so good all throughout the season.

They went on the road and played a very good team and were 1:13 from extending it, and credit to Princeton in pulling it out.

So Northwestern kind of took their first punch.

And that would be a question if I had for Jazz.

You go back to a week ago Friday, my beloved Northwestern Wildcats, they battled tooth and nail, narrow loss to the Indiana Hoosiers.

brief because I'm still celebrating, basking in the glow of a glorious win by my Northwestern Wildcats.

I, I, I'm trying to temper expectations as far as the game itself.

Um, I mean, I'm hopeful.

I feel good about the way the Cats have played, but it's just a special event tonight for, uh, for Cats Nation, um, to see that stadium and to have a game there.

I'm, I'm, I'm pretty, I'm pretty fired up.

Yeah.

I want to talk for just a minute or two about what we have seen with this Michigan State team and Pat Fitzgerald, who, by the way, was eloquent Wednesday night at his coach's show talking about Mike Sadler and how much he wanted him to be a Northwestern Wildcat.

But he said he made a great decision coming to Michigan State, obviously, and accomplishments to prove it and the legacy to prove it.

But from what you saw last week with the Spartans at Notre Dame, were you encouraged? Or, as just a few people, remained discouraged?

Man, I tell you, Chip has got this quarterback feeling good.

And I would be feeling good if I was a Northwestern Wildcat fan.

I mean, this team looked good.

I don't know how good the Colorado Buffaloes are.
