Northwest Ohio

Well, Chase Maurer's a heck of a name, and that's our Freak of the Week.

We got to get to the names of some schools in Northwest Ohio.

Does high school hysteria know their mascots? From pirates to wildcats, the possibilities are endless.

Time now for the mascot game.

All

right, let me put my AI list away of Northwest Ohio here.

All right, fellas.

AI list? You got a list? You got a study list? I got a study list, yeah.

Okay.

One of the phrases I use at our church in Northwest Ohio, Southeast Michigan is you are a part of the story that God is writing here.

And I know some of you are like, but I just showed up for the first time, perhaps.

Whether you realize it or not, the Bible is full of stories that were a part of God's story long before they ever sensed or felt like they even wanted to be.

Walsh isn't, and Hoban isn't, but some of the other ones are completely all Boyd and some of those things, but those are Division II.

I think The thing that is going to be very interesting for the state is with NIL now being legal for high school kids is, and again, this is more of a Northeast and Northwest Ohio issue than it is, I think, a Central Ohio issue.

For whatever reason, and I think this is one thing that's so cool about Central Ohio high school athletics, there is incredible loyalty to community, it seems.

In central Ohio? Like if you're a kid, like, like you guys were.

Like he, he was somewhere between a graduate assistant and getting to Tennessee and getting to South Florida.

Like, There's this whole Mid-American Conference School, Northwest Ohio, Southeastern Michigan, Toledo, Carbubble.

That is kind of crazy how the Mac doesn't get that respect.

And we'll talk about that a little bit later too.
