North Sentinel Island

No smoke columns rising through the trees, no paths visible through the foliage.

From above, North Sentinel Island looks like an uninhabited tropical island, indistinguishable from thousands of other small landmasses scattered across the Indo-Pacific, the kind of island that exists on nautical charts as a green dot with a depth contour around it, noted and then passed.

It is not uninhabited.

North Sentinel Island is home to the Sentinelese, one of the last uncontacted peoples on Earth, and almost nothing is known about them with certainty.

Their population is estimated from aerial observation and from the number of individuals seen on the beach during rare distant observations conducted from boats and helicopters that do not approach closer than the law permits, at somewhere between 50 and 200 people.

That range is wide because the observations are infrequent, conducted from distance, and the Sentinelese do not cooperate with census efforts.

It is not a mystery story about what might be hidden on the island.

It is a chronological account of one society attempting to impose itself on another and of the Second Society saying no with increasing clarity until the First Society finally listened.

And if people wanna build a, quote-unquote, "backwards nation," you gotta let them.

Like, there is an island, um, oh, somebody looked this up, Sentinel Island.

I'm almost certainly, almost certain it's called North Sentinel Island.

North Sentinel Island, right now off the coast of India, they are still the uninhabited, uh, or uncontacted sort of tribe.

And if you roll up on North Sentinel Island, you're going to die.

How do I know? Because people have tried it, and they've all died.

They just kill them and that's that.

He w- he had a GoPro and was, and he had a Diet Coke and he was like, "I'm gonna go to the, to the..." He's from Scottsdale, Arizona.

He said, "I'm gonna go to North Sentinel Island."

Yeah, what percentage of them are American, out of interest?

Everybody who lives in North Sentinel Island is considered a citizen of India.

they don't know the word india they're an uncontacted people who don't know that they're part of something larger that watches them that does not allow people to land but if they started sending out radio signals and then they started letting off nukes on that tiny little island india would not have this paternalistic attitude towards its primitive tribe so my concern is that when we let off a nuke in 1945 Or when Italy became very good at quantum theory, somehow UAPs are very tied to nukes.

And I believe that a nuke is the sign that you become advanced enough that the next thing you figure out how to do is to leave and traverse through propulsion.

What my theory is, in my head, is the reason why we haven't come across intelligent life is because...
