North Kildonan

Yes.

I wanna, I want you to talk about transit and what you're hearing from the voters about the effects of the changes to the transit system in the ward, which runs from the old Henderson Highway, and then east basically to Kildonan Place, uh, a- a- I'm just trying to describe it a little bit for the, for, for the listeners, and then down towards North Kildonan, towards Jeff Browaty's ward.

Yeah, for sure.

So I'd love to touch on that.

If not, uh, please watch for it.

You sent me the article, and one of the paragraphs that really got me, and, um, this is something that, um, the candidate that I'm helping with her campaign here in North Kildonan, her name is Orvy Dengwall.

She's a librarian.

And [laughs] she, she talks about this a lot.

So I hope you show up.

I know you've heard me talk about the candidate that I'm supporting here in North Kildonan before, and today you finally get to meet her.

I will warn you that the Orvi you're going to meet today is letting it loose.

She's giving you everything you want to hear about the incumbent for North Kildonan that she's running against, the current councillor, Jeff Brawady.

You're not going to get the polite Orvi that you get at the doors.

You're going to get to meet the Orvi who got mad enough at the status quo and decided to run for council to challenge the man who, for one, resigned from his position as chair of the Winnipeg Police Board forever.

I am so excited to be here.

That's great to hear because we're excited to have you.

Another bit of news regarding the free transit for youth is that there will be a motion going to City Hall on Thursday, so September 24th.

for the public service to create a refund program for unused youth fairs not used due to the youth pilot program so we love to hear from someone who's actually taking advantage of the youth program fair right now so please reach out send us a voice memo or fill out our form telling us all about it I have to tell you, Sam, the issue we are hearing at the door right now here in North Kildonan is transit.

People are not happy.

I don't know what the fix is, but, you know, maybe that's something we can ask Orvi when we speak to her.

Let's have a big hand for the ladies from the kitchen here.

Welcome to the Zabava Hour, and we are already well underway down at Peace Lutheran Church in North Kildonan with Zabava Live, a Ukrainian-Canadian jam night.

If you were not able to come out tonight, we'll do our best to make you feel like you are here with tonight's lineup on the show.

First up, a special treat, and a Zabava Hour with Brad Salen debut.
