North Fork

Not anything to write home about size-wise, but, you know, everywhere I stopped was good for six or so fish, you know.

and then i tried to swing some streamers for some big fish right right there at dark and uh got bumped four times didn't didn't land on anything but i was you know i'm riding high i'm feeling good like all right i'm not gonna fish here tomorrow i'm gonna go back up to the upper blackfoot maybe the north fork something like that but uh but i'm feeling good man i mean i can't step in the water without catching six fish you know that's pretty good And so the next day, I get back that night, and the weather is just not friendly.

And what I wish I'd done was look a little bit further towards Bozeman and a little bit further towards Idaho.

But everything that I looked at within an hour, hour and a half is just cold, cloudy, windy, probably rainy.

You know, something like that.

And he's like, I'm going to fish a streamer in this hole because I know there's some big fish in it.

we talked and and uh i was like yeah fish lower down on the blackfoot i couldn't find a fish to save my life he said that's how this river is man they're either right there or he may go through a whole dead section that looks really good they're just not there he's like you need to go fish the uh the north fork's pretty good that's some of the biggest cutthroat i've ever caught been in the north fork and he started telling me exactly where to go and this that the other is very nice and um as we're wrapping up the guy in that house starts shooting an automatic weapon oh wow And you hear it echoing off the canyon wall on the other side, and we're like, hey, as long as he's not pointing at us, we're fine.

As long as I can walk out, you know, and he's not pointing in the direction I'm walking out, do you, boo.
