Norman Saunders

it? Yeah, it wears its references on its sleeve.

The look of it with those CGI Martians perfectly captures those trading cards that were drawn by Wally Wood and Norman Saunders, who both provided artwork for pulp sci-fi comics through the 50s.

And Wood went on to be one of the most prolific comic artists of the 60s and 70s.

They've been trying to make a Mars Attacks film since the early 80s.

Um, yeah, yeah, the art's awesome.

Uh, Norm Saunders, who some people actually know, uh, who, who did, uh, the Dinosaurs and Mars Attack cards, people know his art because it's, it's, like, detailed and awesome, right? Uh, he, he did a lot of art for, uh, a World War II set that came out in 1965 called Topps Battle.

It's fantastic and I love them, and it's a set that I hope to complete one day.

You know, I'll get a card or two now and then.
