Noritsu

I see the Black Borders kind of popping up, but it's not.

It's very still like Noritsu, no Black Borders, you know, that kind of soft film visual identity.

Not so much like pushed Portra 400, Jose Vieira style.

I think we're definitely getting away from that.

And I think a big part of that is that people don't talk about film in all of its complexity.

It's like you said before, when people shoot film, they either think it's about this point and shoot vibe that's kind of really loose and like underexposed and color shifty.

Or it's about kind of like you said, the Noritsu look with that ready brown tone.

And that's all that people experience.

I think they are tied with nation photo.

which is one of the larger film photography chain based in Paris and I actually visited them about two years ago and they showed me I met with the hardware engineer I met with the software engineer behind this and yes they are great people and I think this is one of the closest to being an alternative to Fuji Frontier or Noritsu scanners.

Yes, I think price is going to be one of the concerns, especially for smaller labs or individuals seeking into this.

But Frontier or Noritsu scanners also cost a lot of money.

Oh yeah,

and they have the maintenance problem.

If it takes two weeks, three weeks, it already loses the heat of the excitement of like what I have to.

So to me, it's also the time it takes.
