Some of the Picea pungens varieties, the blue Picea, Picea pungens aegis has been really popular because that will reach six-ish feet and really slow down, but it has a lovely conical Christmas tree shape, while being a lovely bright blue as well.

But yeah, I wouldn't advise plants in a Aedes nordmanniana or a Norway spruce.

Just to have a living Christmas tree.

Not for long term, unless you have a really big space.
