And boy, did it.

The diagnosis was for ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and NVLD, or nonverbal learning disorder.

They realized these learning and thinking differences were not a great match for the kind of open-ended, not super structured approach to learning that was a hallmark of his school.

Still, that's where his friends were and teachers who knew him and cared about him.

So I definitely grew up with that feeling of just feeling alone.

And then when I was 16, I found out that I had a learning disability called nonverbal learning disability.

And so now I try to also educate a little bit on that because not a lot of people are aware about that one as much.

And now I just love speaking and, you know, I love writing.

So those are my like big passions right now and really just helping people.

I think helping people is the biggest thing.

Could you explain this? Since a lot of people don't know about the nonverbal learning disability, could you explain to what that is? Because I think a lot of us might have it, but if it's not diagnosed, you would never know, right?

Yeah, I mean, I was 16 when I was diagnosed and that's because I worked with so many tutors and before and after school seeing teachers.
