Nonpoint

That's cool.

And Nonpoint.

[laughs] How would you talk your way into with the, the powers that be of paying your bills in butterfly, in, uh...

What was it?

We played a festi- some ...

We played a festival in Colorado, and the next day we, um, we were going to be jumping on a tour with, uh, who was that band? Nonpoint? Nonpoint.

That it? That the band from Florida, Nonpoint, with Isaiah?

I, I think so.

I think that was the name of the band.

Oh, was it? Yeah, that was a great tour too.

It was us, Head P, Nonpoint Union Underground was the package.

Oh, amazing.

Yeah,

But we're definitely going to pull no stops.

And we're lining up a ton of touring for 2027 and, you know, hitting everywhere.

And, you know, next up, you know, as far as touring, we have a bunch of festivals and we're doing a few dates with Nonpoint and and head P and spine shank and stuff in the States.

But we're coming back to the UK for a full blown UK tour.

So I'll get into what happened as far as leading me to listen to three albums between the hours of 12.15 and 2.05 a.m., but...

For the meantime, the new Nonpoint album, they're a new metal band from kind of, like, early 2000s, but, like, they've switched more to, like, a metal-type theme.

And, dude, these guys are just crushing it, man.

They have a brand-new album that's called The Last Word, and it's a fucking killer album, man.

Or it's, or it's-

We did a really big one recently where you and I were like, "Why is this page not up? This should be up." It wasn't th- We just did Nonpoint that will drop in the near future, but there was another one that was bigger than them where we were just like, "Where's the page?"

Mm.

Mm-hmm.

And he was like, no, they got to like rock music.

So a week later we went and saw Disturbed, Korn and Flyleaf and Nonpoint.

So it was like from Aaron Carter to like the early 2000s vibe to like screaming and metal.

So I became a fan

Kralis.

Nonpoint, The Last Word, Knitland, Ritual of Stone Sun, Revel in Flesh, Flesh for the Cult of Death, fun one for the

family.

Good golly.

We actually had the night off that night.

It was Dirty Sexy Riot, Chris Hockey, Nonpoint, Red Sun Rising, and Hell Yeah.

Yeah.

Oh, I remember Hell Yeah.

remember Hell Yeah? That

was fun.

Back-to-back days, we opened for Everlast, Naughty by Nature one night, and Nonpoint and Hell Yeah the next night.

Did you get to hang with Tretch?

And I have thought about, you know, is my ego...

Will it be able to handle playing smaller places at some point? Will I be able to go into these rooms once that inevitable downfall happens? Will I be able to do that? And going to shows like, you know, Nonpoint and the hardcore shows, I love just playing music, period.

Yeah, you got to have that mindset.

Absolutely.

We're gonna go to that metal list, and we're gonna try and get that number up with one like this.

Elias from Nonpoint is coming back to the Chord Progression Podcast.

The band's brand new album, The Last Word, comes out October 18th, 2026.

With only 20% battery on his phone, not only do we get through what was different about this album in terms of Nonpoint creating music 30 years in their career on their 11th album, we also get a little bit more into the songs that people are most excited about, the songs Elias's most excited about, and wait a minute, what were we talking about when it came to further music down the road? And yeah, we talk about Milwaukee and Madison once again.

You guys ready? Let's go.

Yeah.

This is lucky number three already, but now with a brand-new album called The Last Word coming out on September 18th, 2026.

Ooh, it is good.
