As a quick introduction to Lena and her background, Lena was previously on this podcast about a year ago where we talked about some of the breakthrough research that she had conducted back with Nofima on sea lice and what Pacific salmon can teach us about resistance towards the parasite.

Since that time as a distinguished researcher, She's gone on to become a founder of a new company called Histo Company, where they focus on providing next-generation histology across a number of different animal species.

As one of the best scientific communicators that I've ever come across, I always find that I learn so much from just having a conversation with Lena.

And then we started to get higher and higher volume.

So it's just really demanding trying to do everything yourself, being in the lab, writing the proposals.

And then we also developed these AI programs that worked on different salmon tissues and Nofima still have those AIs running by the way, a bit commercial for Nofima.

But what we needed was someone that just had this high consistency in the slides.
