This is not the only case wherein the Trump administration has gone to extreme lengths to punish pro-Palestine activism.

California District Judge Noel Wise highlighted this in her recent decision excoriating the State Department and Department of Homeland Security, DHS, for their attempts to deport non-citizens over protected speech.

This ruling, stemming from a lawsuit filed by FIRE, centered on how the second Trump administration revoked visas and detained international students studying in the US after they engaged in pro-Palestinian advocacy.

Judge Wise stated in her decision that in the United States, freedom of speech belongs to the people.

A federal judge has ruled the Trump administration has violated the constitutional rights of international students in seeking to deport them for their pro-Palestinian activism and criticism of Israel.

In her ruling, U.S. District Judge Noel Wise wrote, quote, In the United States, free speech, including the freedom to criticize the government and its leaders, is not a sign of our democracy's fragility.

It's evidence of its strength.

That strength is diminished when members of our society, citizens and noncitizens alike, must self-censor and behave or suffer the government's retaliation,

Okay, well, meanwhile, let me talk about Stanford, because this lawsuit was brought by the Free Speech Group Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, or FIRE, on behalf of the Stanford Daily, the newspaper that showed that these student journalists were facing a lot of demands they censor themselves and were withdrawing stories over fear of government retaliation.

And U.S. District Judge Noel Wise just ruled, 90-page decision, that the Trump administration broke the First and Fifth Amendments by weaponizing immigration laws against to deport international students just because they criticized not Judaism, but the civilian government of Israel's actions in Gaza.

What exactly did the Trump administration do that Judge Wise found unconstitutional?

Well, it's part of a pattern.

This isn't Trump and Rubio being denied.

This is a Biden appointed judge in California deciding on his own that Marco Rubio as secretary of state can't deport foreign students who are agitating against this country on campus or in protest speeches.

Yes, he can, and this ruling is bound to be overturned.

The U.S. government, in the form of the executive branch and the State Department, have incredible powers when it comes to eliminating foreign threats from our soil.

They have incredible powers when it comes to deciding who we need to allow into this country and who we can expel as a foreign threat.

Marco Rubio and his State Department have, and have always had, all sorts of authority and leeway to send any foreigner packing if they feel the need to do so.

And so this judge, Noel Wise, simply gets it wrong.

But again, Joe Biden appointed, Trump hater, out there in Northern California, the lefties who filed the lawsuit found a judge that would agree with them.

The Stanford Daily, one of the best known college student newspapers in the nation, sued the Trump administration for changing its immigration policy and pattern of enforcement, namely by arresting, detaining, and deporting students with F1 visas when those students use their freedom of speech to express opinions that the government does not like.

It asserted that the Trump administration's actions have specifically impacted Stanford Daily by decreasing the quantity and diversity of opinion pieces.
