I follow him because I find him to be intelligent and and thought-provoking and he makes me think just like I recommend Tushar I recommend Rohit Shinde and I recommend many other people who make me think who educate me who I feel I have learned something after consuming their content so the good news is actually AI is not taking away your jobs as of now it's generating way more jobs what AI might take away is some menial jobs but if you upskill yourself sufficiently and you learn good enough things you actually might do well so what I'll do is I'll also copy the link and I will post it in the live stream for those who want to maybe go and read this it's a very good thing and I hope you guys realize this will this will make see all of this was intended to make you think so to conclude once again I'm saying what you are seeing on your social media feed is is literally a curated reality.

Economist Noah Smith made another point that I think is especially useful here.

Take a step back and look at what long-term interest rates have actually done.

Yes, they've risen in 2026, but compared with the enormous move we saw in 2022 and 23, this year's increase has been relatively modest, only a few tenths of a percentage point.

And he says, the pitch from the AI folks was, watch us become obscenely wealthy and control everything.

And by the way, our products will make you and your descendants either unemployable or dead.

And one of the problems that we have in politics is we continually judge people based on intentions more than results.

And as far as the debt goes, You know, the debt, I think I've used this analogy on this podcast years ago, but it was, I never forget what Noah Smith said about debt.

He's an economist.

He writes a fantastic sub stack.

Writers have a harder time influencing, but it can still be done.

Part of this is that we are in a populist era when the right is led by Trump who acts on instincts built from TV and real estate and zero-sum games, and listens to whoever talked to him last, and the left is largely insular and only listens inside its echo chamber.

so you can't much influence either.

There's no republic of letters.

My response is a mix of it's not the incentives, it's you a plus skill issue.
