yeah hopefully next up is the nationals organization and they're part of the salt river roster there uh the big time headliner here is harley and susana um that's gonna be really fun to watch it's always cool to see some of those flamethrowers in the afl especially when the pulse down there they They gear up there at the end of the year sometimes.

Then the rest of the roster is outfielder Tao Banks, left-hander Noah Dean, left-hander Nolan Hughes, utility guy Horliss Mata, I think maybe, and then right-hander RJ Sales to round it out.

But Susana is the guy here, obviously, that we're keyed in on, I'm sure.

Yeah, because he's come back and he's looked as he did before, right? Coming back from the injury and just continuing to average 101 on the fastball and top out at 103.

Like you do it, you do it with a subpar team.

It doesn't work, but if you do it like the Volcom team and you've got like Noah Dean at his peak, like he was extraordinary out there.

We had Yago out there.

It was, it was really cool.

How did that thought come about? We did a competition with Volcom about trying to come up with a concept shoot.

And one of the ideas that came out of was the flat.

We did this flower shoot with Noah Dean.

It wasn't very good.

Okay.

So, uh, yeah, you had Dakota Walters from Yamba up against Dimitri Poulos, uh, from Santa Barbara or that, that kind of, uh, Central Californian region, uh, up against Joel Parkinson, the, the 2012 world champ, up against Noah Dean.

Uh, I believe Dakota and Dimitri had to qualify through, uh, performing a, a series o- of challenges, uh, in Surf 100.

Uh, they're both on the Challenger Series.

Didn't really know, uh, whether he was chasing pits or, uh, may- just seemed a, a little bit lost in terms of what kind of wave he was looking for.

Uh, but mate, still enjoyed it.

Or, or it could've been the opposite too, 'cause like if you think about the, the way that Noah Dean and, and Craig Anderson surf, th- they will just sit out the back and wait for the one that they want, and if that wave doesn't come and you're in a heat, yeah, you, you end up getting forced to have to make different choices, which, uh, I think that's what was sort of going on with Noah.

'Cause I feel like for the first half of it he was just going, "All right, I'll just wait for me one, 'cause I know which one I want." Um, there were some sick free surfing clips out there in the lead up to it.

So we got Joel Parkinson, Noah Dean as the two mystery surfers who will be matched up against Dakota and Dimitri.

Looking at that lineup, how do you think you would have matched up against Parco and Noah Dean at this undisclosed location?

I also heard maybe where it was going to be.

So more so like when I heard where it was going to be possibly, I was like, ooh, that sounds sick.

oh, I would have been really stoked to just go and surf there and be with those guys.

And if it was anything like doing carves or whatever, to be able to triangle carve for carve with Parco would have been super sick.

I don't think I've... had a heat with parko before so that would have been cool and then noah dean's gnarly in the air too so it would have been sick to see how you fare with that but you want to win honestly i hope dimitri wins because he took me out and i don't know i think he's just a super good kid and just he don't got no sponsor right now and i think it would help him out a lot and um i don't know i like him i like his vibe and i felt like he was ripping

Let's do on that for a moment before we break down what happened in this episode, but I don't even know, we're gonna talk about odds and stuff at some point, but I would have no idea how

I just judged better than everybody.

I'm literally the best at judging surfing out of like 20,000 people.

yeah so yeah that's all happening again september 9th is the night if you can't be there in person you can obviously watch this online on stab premium it's going to be one of our biggest events of the entire year both the irl version and online so yeah we're unbelievably excited for this like i said the waves are pumping and we have the best surfers from like I would say really different segments as well of the surfing world like we have a world champion whose rail surfing is still qualified as some of the best that's ever been done we have the stab surfer of the year from 2025 who is probably I mean right now he's kind of really pushing things in like the bigger heavier wave realm but in regards to where we're surfing I think the air game is probably what we're going to be looking at most from Noah Dean.

Like, I think that's where his kind of point of difference is.

Yeah.

I remember like getting matched up with like Jesse Adams and like Jake Sylvester and Creed and Noah Dean and shit.

And you're like, fuck, like, all right, I guess.

And they were probably 21.
