No One Will Save You

No, no. I've never actually read the book either, but I suppose the fact that it's been optioned and put into production and released as a film just three years after it was published says a lot.

in fact the film rights were actually bought before the book was even published so it's clearly a very visual story that was you know always intended or always destined maybe to be made into a film Daniel Crouse the author also co-wrote the screenplay and it was directed by Brian Duffield who also directed I don't know if you saw the really good sci-fi horror film No One Will Save You in 2023 it had like maybe seven lines of dialogue in the whole film really good really unusual sci-fi horror film But whale fall, yeah, it's a mad story, really.

Like it is essentially about a man who gets stuck in a whale.

I did wonder how they would make sense of a fall.

It is based on the book titled Whale Fall.

It's by-- directed by Brian Duffield, who most recently did No One Will Save You, starring Kaitlyn Dever, who-- Uh, that movie is an alien invasion film in which no one has any speaking lines at all, including Kaitlyn Dever.

But this film is starring Austin Abrams, who is having a banner year 'cause he was just in Resident Evil.

And it's about a scuba diver who gets accidentally swallowed by a sperm shark that-- a sperm whale that is fighting something else, and he's experiencing flashbacks as he's stuck in the belly of the beast with his, uh, oxygen tank running low and must figure out how to escape the whale.

I think it's unique enough.

I think the trailer had me on the edge of my seat intensity.

I mean, this one-- And we take Brian Duffield with No One Will Save You, and I can't remember if I reviewed it on the show or-
