They were the first people at Belsen.

Didn't hang around there because they said this is a job for, you know, medical services and, and normal troops, and pushed on right up to the Baltic, to Kiel, where they, they helped, um, the likes of Ian Fleming's 30 Assault Unit to gather advanced technical intelligence, naval stuff and encryption devices, et cetera, et cetera.

And then the war ended, and they were regrouped in Belgium, came back to England, and were then very quickly sent to Norway as to take surrender of the German forces in Norway, where they stayed for a couple of months.

But you can imagine that, that, that was quite tricky for both Paddy and, and, and, and Brian, because you imagine you've got several hundred combat-proven soldiers sitting around, the war's over, lots of pretty girls and some quite frustrated Norwegian young men, because they found that all the Norwegian girls preferred the SAS soldiers, and it led to a, a little bit of friction, as, as one might imagine.
