Nitrox

Let's pause on that.

What is nitrox, and why is it a perk worth mentioning?

Nitrox is enriched air.

It has a higher oxygen content and a lower nitrogen content than standard compressed air.

When you are doing 14 dives over five days, nitrogen buildup in your bloodstream is your biggest limiting factor.

Nitrox extends your allowable bottom time and leaves you feeling significantly less fatigued at the end of the day.

Operators use free nitrox as a high value perk to justify a mid-range price without actually dropping their base rates.

OK, there's a huge value add.

Where...

Nitrox, for instance, was voodoo gas.

It was something that was super dangerous.

And of course, technical divers started using it, using it for decompression, understanding how it works, setting some limits.

Once we have that data and know it's safe, well, then now Nitrox is a recreational divers gas.

We now use a lot of Trimix.

We still use nitrox for decompression, but we now use Trimix.
