Nissen hut

And they were run by a lady, Mrs. Bristair.

In the hostels, you had tiny little compartments all the way along the Nissen Hut.

I can't remember how many people had above 16 in the Nissen Hut.

But you had your own privacy.

You got a little bed on one side and a cupboard, and you had your own window.

It was absolutely gorgeous.

I can only tell you, that it was paradise living there after having lived where I was before, so I couldn't have been more happy.

Each Nissen hut was looked after by, supposedly, see, all these ladies were fiercely old, probably 39 or 40.
