Nippon Budokan

I would like to see them put up the, uh, Sai Kamatani versus Utami Hayashishita mat- There are two matches, the one in, uh, they did at the Nippon Budokan for the Utami's World of Stardom Championship when they were-

... tag partners, and then they ran it back a year later at Stardom to the World, and Kamatani was Wonder of Stardom champion, and they split those matches.

I Want You to Want Me studio version is on what we're hearing tonight, and I like the studio version as opposed to the definitive live Budokan version that always was on, uh, Q104.3.

But, now In Color is a underrated classic.

It's loved by classic rock fans, critics, music historians, but hated by the band.

But whatever.

But the no final, uh, In Color version of the song did they hate more than the next one, which is I Want You to Want Me.

So the one you've always heard on classic rock radio for all the years, that's the live one at Budokan.

This is the studio version.

Sounds great.

Big Hosh said she wanted to hold that title until they ran Budokan.

As our feet-on-the-ground reporter at the Senjo show, do you think they could run Budokan, which is like a 14,000-seat venue?

Probably not.

Although, I don't know.

It

was unfortunate for me.

But yeah, Noah is the only company that really still runs Budokan, and they only do like 6,500.

I think I played all but two songs on, on that record.

So I, I, didn't know when i was doing the record there'd be a tour i i just you know did it i've done a bunch of different records over the years from with michael you know on some different records studio records of his where you know i might be on two tracks or four tracks or six or whatever um and we've jammed a couple times at like nam events you know so we know well enough we've played live together i've done studio stuff uh but to go into go to japan and then they go yeah you're you're You're playing Budokan, which is just, you know, I never played Budokan before.

So that was going to be our second show of the three.

And we had like five days of rehearsal, but I'd never been in that, that kind of world with Michael where you're, there's a full blown set, you know, whatever it was, 18 songs, hour and 45 minutes show.

And, and, um, You have to, by that second show, really by the first one, but the second show, you're at Budokan, sold out, and you're playing and recording for a DVD.

It's not just a show at Budokan.

At Budokan, it's going to be turned into a DVD.

So that was a lot of pressure.

You're killing

me on the Budokan Hall thing.

That

drives me up a wall.

I didn't get to go to Budokan Hall.

And I'm not going to get you this year either.

I'm going down there and they're not running it.
