Nintendo Switch Lite

When do we get a Switch 2 Lite? How much smaller and lighter can it really be versus the NS2? What sort of cost do you think we might be looking at?

That's been a tough one the whole time with the Switch Lite, hasn't it?

I don't even know if we're definitely going to get a Switch 2 Lite.

I don't feel that super duper confident about it.

Yeah, but it's an option.

Yeah.

And we had those issues with Labo and sports and stuff with the Switch Lite before.

I would be interested in a Lite.

Like I say, you can get it on the Switch.

As I've said before, um, it's harder on the Switch Lite because you haven't got the rumble in there.

Mm-hmm.

So when you're getting nearer a clue, it's a bit tricky.

So.

Yeah, I, I think that, uh, you know, I think of it kind of like the Switch and Switch Lite, you know? Like, the Switch Lite was a compromise in many ways, you know? Like, it, just 720p screen and you can't dock it, you know, and, uh, that, that has its own kind of drawbacks, but its form factor really helped in some ways, too.

And so that's what I'm kind of hoping for is something like that.

And they just really need to promote it in the right way to be able to...

[clears throat] I'll play, uh, I'll play...

Oh, you know why? I think I was looking for, um, something to play on the Switch Lite, uh-

Oh, yeah

... which that, that is not, because-

Um, I still...

The Switch Lite is still my by far preferred version of the Switch, uh, to play.

And I would lo- o- o- ove a small form factor Switch 2, but that seems like, uh, I don't know.

It w- that is a, an act of compression that I do not know the market is kind of set up to, uh, to, to allow.

Mm.

Um, if it is a gaming device, a dedicated one, it's probably like a Switch Lite is the only one that's really fit in your pocket sort of-

... form factor, isn't it? The Switch 2 is-

That was probably about as...

Because the Switch Lite is bigger than a, than a Vita.

And this is going down.

And that's interesting to me because if it runs on a phone type chip, My mind races in all these directions outside of VR where it's like, could this mean SteamOS running on a phone? Could it mean running on a tablet? Could it run – and with Ramageddon and stuff like that, you start getting PC gaming handhelds that are running more affordable chipsets, things that are smaller that can basically run what you need and maybe be a little less – like the Switch Lite, but they actually have the same chipset.

But it's like something where you're like a little – A little lighter, less expensive.

It feels like Valve's kicking the tires on that for the whole Steam library.
