Nina Conti

Taskmaster is back, Season 22.

I can't believe that, you know, we're 22 seasons into it already, but this season we've got Chloe Petts, Is- Isy Suttie, Matt Lucas, Nina Conti, and Richard Ayoade.

And so far, it has been an [laughs] absolutely brilliant season.

Very good.

Loving the series.

Uh, we'll be talking to the brilliant current contestant, Nina Conti.

Excited to see Nina, excited to chat about this episode and her experience on Taskmaster in general.

Let's get into it.

But enough of all that plugging.

Let's get on with it.

This is Taskmaster Series 22, Episode 6, as discussed by Nina Conti.

[upbeat music] Welcome, Nina, to the Taskmaster Podcast.

Um, Paul Carenza, he's still going.

F- Nina Conti, third, but obviously still going.

Daft Johnny Vader was in the final.

I remember him.

Because we've got a very special guest today, and this is appropriate.

Yes, Nina Conti, who you might know as a ventriloquist.

Check out how we're sitting in the visualized form of this podcast.

I'm being the monkey.

Yes.

Enjoy.

Here's Nina Conti.

[upbeat music]

nina brings in

uh an old man mask a rubber old man mask that she wears in a video and it didn't need to be a velvet glove did it could be any kind of probably marigolds you could have used for that

No, I feel like with the prize tasks, I always enjoy Nina's prize tasks because I like to see what she's got in her house.

Yes.

Because she's, I mean, just mad stuff going on in there.

I think there's something else that happens later on that we will discuss.

Scoring-wise, Izzy gets one point.

Nina gets two points.

But maybe only met Chloe like once or twice.

Nina sort of similarly gigged with her a couple of times.

That's really weird to me that you didn't know Nina really well because as soon as you are on a team with her, it's like you've known each other your whole life.

Yeah, I felt like that too.

I can see you in later life as sisters, just like two old sisters who live together and solve crimes.

I think you can make it work.

I definitely, I'd be up for that.

I really, really liked Nina.

We had... seven or eight semi-finals and eight and you judged them all i did so and so we had a great judging panel and that happened on the last thursday of the fringe and we had a great big party afterwards which goes on very late and they get lots of free drinks and i disappear And

this year, Nina Conti was our celebrity judge, who's now on Taskmaster, which I didn't realise she was on.

She's in the season that's on TV now.

She is such a wonderful girl.

You were opening, yeah.

So that was quite a daunting spot.

And Duma Kikam was a celebrity judge, wasn't she? So I was really chuffed to meet her.

Yeah.

We've got Isy Suttie.

We've got Nina Conti, and we've got Richard Ayoade.

Lovely, lovely, and gum.

Don't know him.

Yeah.

But I can see why Izzy gets one point in this situation.

Um, Nina gets, uh, bring, Nina brings in slush powder.

I didn't understand that, and nor did Greg.

Incredible lineup.

Isy Suttie, Mat Lucas, Nina Conti, Richard Ayoade, and, and Chloe Petts.

Absolutely fantastic.

And I love this episode, by the way.
