Niklaus Mikaelson

Okay.

Okay, but top one, Niklaus Mikaelson from The Originals/Vampire Diaries.

He is, he's number one for me.

[laughs]

I think he's fantastic.

Joseph Morgan, mwah, what a performance as, as Klaus Mikaelson.

Um, number two.

Do you know what? Here's the thing.

Yeah, but she's still mad.

She was so desperate she called Klaus for help, and...

But she's not gonna run away.

So she says.

show. And the villains undergo extreme makeovers.

Look at Klaus.

In the books, Klaus is this ancient, barely seen, annihilating force of nature known as an Old One.

Barely human.

Right.

[laughs] It's like musical chairs.

And Joseph Morgan, who was cast as the terrifying villain Klaus, ended up marrying Persia White, who played Bonnie's mother.

It's an incredibly tangled web.

Everyone is connected to everyone else, both on screen and off.

But perhaps the craziest casting almost miss was for the show's greatest, most terrifying villain.

This is a big one.

Julie Plec desperately wanted Joshua Jackson, who played Pacey Witter on Dawson's Creek, a show Kevin Williamson created, to play Klaus, the original vampire.

Now, over 200 actors auditioned for this highly coveted role, and it ultimately went to a relative unknown British actor named Joseph Morgan.

I've got to speak to the originals.

So I have another reason to say Klaus Michelson.

So I can be your most said word of the year.

Again, for two years in a row.

Last year, Riverside made a little...

They made a thing of like what you say the most and mine was Klaus.

Klaus.

It was ridiculous.

Brothers, we love it.

But the originals, which is the spinoff, where it's got Klaus and Rebecca.

And that show, again, Liza's going to go, of course.

It takes place in New Orleans.

fake.

The Moonstone was a trick from Klaus.

There was a time when they replaced it with soap, but it was real.

No, no, no.

yeah.

Klaus...

Last night, Klaus just revived Caroline.

So, I think they're about to become a thing.

And Damon has kissed Elena once.
