Niki Vincent

Hello

and welcome to this special IPA Victoria vodcast and podcast of a discussion with Dr Niki Vincent, who's Victoria's Public Sector Gender Equality Commissioner.

I'm Nick Bastow and in this discussion we'll be talking about a new report that the Commission's just released, which gives a snapshot of how the Victorian public sector is travelling in terms of gender equality.

We'll be discussing a few slides, exploring some of the most important data that the report contains, and there's a link to the full report in the show notes.

It's from Vacav Havel and it's in Disturbing the Peace.

He wrote in 1986 and it was, "'Hope is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense regardless of how it turns out.' And that's how I feel about this."

On that optimistic note, Dr Niki Vincent, thanks so much for being part of this Hippo Victoria discussion.

My pleasure.
