I think the first one was 1971.

There's Tombs of the Blind Dead, Return of the Blind Dead, Ghost Ship of the Blind Dead, and then Night of the Seagulls.

And they all deal with these 15th century Templar monks that were accused and executed of devil worship.

And they all had their eyes burned out or stabbed out.
