W- what's, what are you up to? What have you done?
10:45
Sure.
10:45
Um, so y- my sort of sporting career has had three phases.
10:51
When I was a teenager and young adult, I wasn't good at a lot of sports, but I was naturally good at cycling, probably because I'd, uh, spent the money that my parents had given me to buy the season tickets to go to school.
11:05
Instead, I was going 10 miles there, backwards and forwards from school from the age of 12.
11:10
So I, I, I, and I sort of, you know, without really thinking about it, was naturally good at cycle sport.
11:17
And that continued up until my 20s, but when I qualified as a doctor, it was very much a part of the long hours culture in medicine.

And, and you said there, there's a difference there, and we're not necessarily sure, but I wonder if we could pull on that.

So let's get started now with this week's edition of the Freewheeling Podcast.
2:12
Good morning, everyone.
2:12
My name is Nigel Stephens, for those of you who don't know me, and I'm the chair of Transport Focus.
2:17
I'm delighted to welcome you today to the, uh, first of our thought leadership seminars, and today's one on rail reform and the passenger experience.
2:25
So first of all, just a little bit about Transport Focus.
2:28
We're there to represent the transport user to make sure that across road, rail, and bus, in different dimensions across parts of England and parts of the UK, we are the representative for those who travel around the UK.
2:44
Today I focus on rail, and we are really delighted to have a great, great cast of people who can focus on some of the things that are important as we drive into rail reform.
