Uh, so I used to be big on, in Return of the Jedi, uh, there should have been a different mechanic to where Luke travels to stop the Emperor, uh, to confront the Emperor, because it used to bother me that Luke didn't really defeat the Emperor.

Uh, Lando and Nien Nunb, and the rest of the team blew up the Death Star, and if Luke was like, "You know what? I was gonna confront my dad, but instead I go for tacos."

Does the, does everything else still stay the same?

And who they want to be that makes a difference.

So it is, it is Luke's personal confrontation at the end of the Return of the Jedi that matters.

It's not like a scoreboard of, like, [laughs] the rebels debrief and like, "What percentage of Palpatine's death do we give to Han for his clever bunker idea? What percentage do we give to Lando and Nien Nunb for actually making the shot?" You know, does, does Luke get 12% 'cause he was distracting the Emperor? Like-

They are delegated to doing nothing in the final 40 minutes because they have to turn off the shield for Wedge Antilles, Lando, and Nien Nunb to blow up the Death Star.

Like, the half of the final 45 minutes is Wedge, Lando, and Nien Nunb blowing up the second Death Star.

Way less exciting than the trench run, way less stakes.

They're literally flying into the Death Star, which is cool and cuts it, and I think the Death Star II is one of the coolest designs ever.

I know Salacious Crumb and Sy Snootles and Nien Nunb, and I couldn't name a lot-

I'm like, this is a little too neat.

But then Vader is dead.

Lando and Nien Nunb in the Millennium Falcon and Wedge Antilles in his X-wing take out the power generator of the Death Star and just narrowly escape the explosion, and Luke just barely makes it out in a shuttle.

Boom, the Death Star is blowed up.
