Nicole Flattery

Welcome to the Stinging Fly podcast.

My name is Nicole Flattery.

The Stinging Fly has been publishing new writers and new writing for the past 28 years.

We take a particular interest in promoting the short story, and for this podcast, we ask a writer from the most recent issue of the magazine to join us in the studio to read from and discuss their work.

You can support the work we do by taking on a subscription to the Stinging Fly magazine or by becoming a friend of the fly.

Information, all our workshops, events and publications can be found on stingingfly.org.

This episode of the Stinging Fly podcast was hosted by me, Nicole Flattery, produced by Owen Rogers and edited by Ian Mullaney.

Thank you to the Arts Council who provide funding for this podcast and for everything else that the Stinging Fly is doing to seek out, nurture, publish and promote the very best new writers and new writing.

And this year's winner is someone the Rooney Prize tells us is the next big thing because all their previous recipients are very successful.

So, Nicole Flattery.

is the name to know.

Her second novel, Everything is Nice, Everything is Lovely, that's being published next May.
