Nico Radicic

You lose by three.

I think in the Indiana game, if Radicic makes the shorter kick, the only decision I didn't like that Signetti made is on fourth and six when they give up the second fumble.

I thought he was in makeable field goal range.

You make that kick, changes the game.

The 55-yard attempt, Signetti tried to explain that today and said essentially that it was right on the borderline where they would go from Ratajic to Patty McAteer.

But I think it's worth noting that Patty McIntyre didn't look particularly accurate when he came in and kicked field goals replacing Radicic earlier on in the season.

And sadly, you don't have the booming extra distance that you had last year with your kickoff specialist to be able to kick field goals the way that you've got this year.

So it's...

There were failures on special teams.

The Radicic missed field goal.

The one that he hit off the upright can't happen.

And I mean, that's I don't know what happened to Nico Radicic.

He was so automatic last year.

We know he missed a game earlier this year due to an injury.

I don't think that it was a situation where they felt like he was going to be capable of making the throw that he needed to make on that fourth down.

But And ultimately, it didn't matter, I don't think, in terms of the final margin, other than if Indiana goes for it on fourth down and they miss, it's essentially the exact same outcome.

Touchdown drive.

Another touchdown drive, a rather shocking missed field goal by Niko Radicic after a missed extra point.

But then goes touchdown, touchdown, punt, touchdown, field goal, and then they run the game out.

At the end, 3.92 points per drive, eight scoring drives overall across the 11 feasibly scorable drives in the contest.

So business trip, right? That's exactly what we would want.

That's what Kurt Cignetti would want me to do.

A couple of questions and thoughts in the comments, actually less than I thought there would be, about Niko Radicic's misadventures yesterday.

Misses an extra point.

Question here, what is the status of the kicking game? Pretty sure we had a couple of misses the last few weeks.

So Niko Radicic is, I believe, questionable in this game.

And as noted here from KB95, Radicic has been out.

McAteer missed an extra point and then a long field goal, but has been solid overall.

You know, that's the thing to keep in mind.

I think with the city and a team, they're not going to rush Radicic back forever.

You don't want to give away much there in terms of special teams.

That's such a cornerstone of what Indiana and Kurt Cignetti want to do.
