He was at Cal UCLA last weekend.

Got to see Jaron Keave Sangapoluteli, got to see Nico Iamaleava in that game.

And so I asked him from one quarterback, one good quarterback watching a couple of others, what did he think about JKS watching him in person?

very talented outstanding arm talent my other thought is hopefully he stays healthy because there's you know that looked like there were some issues on protecting him and you know I know one of those interceptions I mean he put the ball right on a dime and you know ball just gets tipped as receiver drops it and goes in the hands of the of the defender and then i think he got banged up uh on his ankle in the in the game as well i mean he threw one ball i think i said he was he was parallel to the ground i'm not sure how he threw it but about 50 or 60 yards in the air but uh very talented young uh both those both those players are are talented nico as well

Yeah, you saw Nico Iamaleava, who if maybe he's finally found a place where he can settle down and be a quarterback because we know what he, I should say what he went through, but also what he kind of allowed, I guess, with NIL and all of those things that maybe UCLA can be a little more relevant in the wins and losses column if he can settle in and be a healthy quarterback.

Well, I mean, listen, he took a team to the playoffs when he was at Tennessee.

And then I really think, I mean, partly the NIL.

Let's go play.

We're going to play, okay? Joking aside, the polo and khaki-wearing UCLA staff needs more efficient play from Nico Iamaleava.

Going 14 for 22 against Cal for 180 yards with no touchdown passes.

How about Nico Iamaleava?

They got two sacks, six TFLs, Sammy Omosigo having two TFLs and a sack, and they averaged over seven yards per carry.

They averaged 8.7 yards per carry, actually, now that I look at the stat sheet, and six touchdowns, only one of which was from Nico Iamaleava.

Nico Iamaleava I still think is a very good quarterback.

I think that he was put in a poor situation, first at Tennessee as, uh, they thought of him as a program savior.

That's a hard position.
