The thing is that I really like about Elvedi is, okay, I know he scuffed the chance he had, but his attacking IQ to be in that position, it's like, honestly, it's like when we have set pieces, it's like having someone with the mentality of a striker.

Obviously, I know centre-backs always go up for set pieces and always get their head on things, but with Elvedi, it's almost like he's another striker with the way he thinks of his positioning.

I think this was the key today to find this good balance.

How key to that is Elvedi?

Elvedi?Yes, another r- Rhodes voice performance today, so outstanding what he, what he has delivered after being just a few weeks with us.

So I love this performance and, um, yeah, it's early, early doors, but, uh, you have to say it's, yeah, we have, we have found several bargains in the last years, but he could definitely be one of, uh, one of them, so it's outstanding level and outstanding consistency so far.

And the other one, of course, is Ao Tanaka.

And quietly, I thought the defensive structure was very good as well.

Justin, Elvedi, Muromovic.

Let's talk about the block that Muromovic did for the, um, for the Barnes shot as well.

Unbelievably good.

They had to deal with Newcastle's direct threat, but more importantly, they gave Leeds the confidence to push bodies forward.

Muromovic continues to look increasingly comfortable.

Elvedi brings experience and calmness, and Justin just gives you mobility.

There were-- There will be tougher tests, but you can now see why Leeds wanted this depth.

It was just a real mad turn of events that happened during that real condensed period.

And I think... on balance, sometimes a cup game goes mad, especially when we've, you know, if you look at the spine of the team, we've made a lot of changes and, you know, I think if Calvert-Lewin's playing and you've got, do you know, even this early on, even Elvedi, I don't think it's quite the same.

But equally, I think if Gabby's match fit, two of those goals don't even happen because he were rinsed and he were rinsed in a way that he tends not to be in defence.

I was really surprised to see Elvedi and James Justenstein at the back.

They're front four are some really good players.

I think Elvedi is a player that Farka really wanted at a decent price.

There were a couple of times where he should have been more organised, but he's young and he needed Elvedi, I think.
