Nickolas Butler

We talk about this a lot with writing and writing how much you're sort of shaping a story and how much you're letting the story shape itself.

You know, we had Nicholas Butler on the podcast and he was saying that his drafts are like 80, 90% there when he writes them.

And I was like, that's crazy to me.

That is crazy.

We have some great writers.

So right now we have an episode out with Nicholas Butler, who many will know from his novels, including Shotgun Love Songs and A 40-Year Kiss.

Our last episode was with Sadia Hassan, who's a local poet.

She's incredible.

You know, it's hard to even think that far ahead.

I think like some of these writers I have admired for so long.

You know, Nicholas Butler, I was reading when I was away from Wisconsin and really provided a model for me for like what it could look like to have a writing life in my home state.

Laurie Moore, she is a true writer's writer.

That was a blast.

At number four, Nicholas Butler, New York Times bestselling author, Nicholas Butler, and one of the top authors at Yankee Bookstore in downtown Wausau, the oldest bookstore in the state of Wisconsin.

And one of our favorites.

Nicholas Butler is from Eau Claire, so we got to go over there.

And it's number four on the Wausau Business Show top five favorite moments countdown.

Love these countdowns.

And a special guest from none other than the Green Bay Packers.

All right, so 2025, I am pumped about, speaking of Valentine's Day, just before Valentine's Day, the new Nicholas Butler book comes out.

Oh,

I can't wait to read that.

Epic.

This was number nine of the Wausau Business Show.

Nicholas Butler, New York Times bestselling author.
