So yesterday and against LASK Linz, he was found wanting in, in both of those areas.

You know, and I'll say in his defense, there was an incident in the first half where Nick Walsh is looking at it, and Fernandes has just basically threw him to the floor, and he gets nothing.

And I say to myself, "Did he, did that affect him? Did he get annoyed? Did he just, you know, a sense of injustice about all that?" But again, you've got to start playing with the head and say, "Right, this is the way it is sometimes." Just get up and get on with it and show them what you can do.

And, and also get the- That penalty box predatory stuff, he's not been given much service in, in those, in those areas in the past few games.

We've had some other, um, counter-attacks that have broken down at the last moment.

but it goes both ways for those listening who are maybe part of the Rangers 4th team supporters club but I actually thought Mika Bauer was a bit lucky to stay on the pitch, I thought he had a poor game yesterday, I thought he looked like he didn't know where he was to be, I think he sort of was just often seen standing about and as I said it was that one, I think it was the second half where he clattered into...

I think he went up and it maybe came off the that mob defender and then he just finishes it.

And then, of course, you get VAR and they take their time just to make sure, is it offside? Was it offside at the beginning? Was it offside in the beginning? And then they're standing there and then eventually Nick Walsh was forced to say, no, that's a goal.

And it was a brilliant finish.

And, you know, you could just see them, the whole team just absolutely loving it.

It was dominant versus four shots on goal with one on target for, for them, and it was a, a powder puff that Pandur just took, took care of, easy peasy.

In terms of the referee, Wal- sh- Nick Walsh, in the moment yesterday, I was, I was getting a bit annoyed about him.

I thought he let, I thought he let way too many fouls go, and I mean way too many fouls for their team go.

You go over with the intent of stopping the ball, do you not?

Yeah, maybe he was thinking about the early booking, which I, I'd like to bring up because, you know, Nick Walsh is always, you know, five Rangers fouls and then Celtic have one foul and it's a straight, straight yellow.

You know? Um, but-

We've mentioned that there was a penalty at Kilmarnock not long ago for Dundee United.

Nick Walsh that day was perfectly placed for that.

And we've seen that throughout this season already that Scottish referees are actually doing a lot right.

There's been a lot of positive performances.

Right then so to Scotland then and Scottish League Cup quarter final Old Firm today then Bobby How did it go? From a refereeing point of view, reasonably well.

Yeah, and again, a referee going into that match wants to come away and nobody talking about him.

And I think Nick Walsh and his team have achieved that.

There was a VAR intervention for a very tight offside.

I thought it was full but it's a white level but he smashes it in really doesn't he and then yeah we're sitting here for what three four minutes waiting well probably not as long as that but it feels like that long yeah and then the goals awarded much to our surprise because you know it actually said VR checking for anything anything to rule it out but in terms of referee and performance I actually don't think Nick Walsh done too bad maybe a few decisions either way a couple but you're going to get that There was one in the first half, actually, I thought Fernandes absolutely manhandled one of them down.

And they said play on.

I think even Fernandes was surprised by it.
