In place of all of those strikeouts, and there were a crap ton with those three guys, two of whom are now back in the lineup.

But in place of them at that time, you got Sogard and Siegler and Nate Eaton for a period of time.

And as a result, with Anthony already out of the lineup, all of those strikeouts came out.

So the Red Sox suddenly had a group of players in the lineup, whether it was Anthony Siegler or Nick Sogard.

Certainly they made some trades, although I would say the acquisitions they made at the trading deadline really have not had that much of a profound impact on the team.

So obviously, Curtis Meade was injured right away.

But either way, it's something we're watching because otherwise the Red Sox are also essentially in preservation mode.

And we will see if they do choose to play hard, even if it's just like Nick Sogard batting every single time or whatever.

I know Nick Sogard is like actually kind of important on this team.

You know, what are they going to mess up the Guardians plans? They're going to mess with the Cubs plans.

We will see.

you know, before Jake Bennett hit that innings, whatever is going on with him right now, were major parts of this Red Sox rotation.

Caleb Durbin, Cedon Rafaela, not new to Major League Baseball, but had an experience, you know, the abilities that they played with this season under manager Chad Tracy, even to smaller degrees, guys like Nick Sogard and guys like Siegler and guys like Gasper.

Now you can keep going and going and in terms of the young players that have impacted the Boston Red Sox this year.

But what I kind of didn't expect for Chad Tracy to do was handle the veterans of this club incredibly well.

And as a result, with Anthony already out of the lineup, all of those strikeouts came out.
