Yeah, I first heard of Transformers when I was asked to write Last Stand of the Wreckers.

No, I first saw Transformers.

I think it was whatever the TV ads were That were first on UK TV.

So if that was in 84, it would have been 84, but I think it may have been 85 when they started being shown the TV ads.

And it was the idea of just, because it had the theme tune, it had the toys, it had the stentorian tones of, from hasbro the man just like being so urgent about the porsche turns into a robot it was like the porsche does turn into a robot um and so that kind of got me because i was just i was four or five i would be five i like toy cars and i i've said in lots of interviews i always liked nearly every tv show at the time that had a main character that was a vehicle so like knight rider or street hawk or airwolf or even the a team where the car was a star or even starsky nuts so And this was a property where the vehicles were the characters.
