But no, I think this is the way Hollywood works.

They look around for good ideas that they think are going to make an exciting film or comic book, and then they do it.

Well, again, you've had so many reports now, Nick, that I, I really have to ask, do you notice anything in the demographics? Do you notice anything in the, in the type of people that, that are contacted? Do you notice any similarities or many similarities in the stories that people tell you, or what?

Hmm.

Well, actually, that's a good point, because yeah, there are certain things you can look for that you do see quite prevalent, you know, through a lot, a lot of these reports.

One, as I said, is the fact that most of them turn up at night, and I don't think that's coincidence.

You know, if you're trying to blend in and you're walking around the streets, the best way to do it is when it's more and more difficult to see you, which is obviously after the sun's gone down.

Um, now, in terms of the people who actually go, get the visit, this, I think, is one of the reasons why it's been so difficult to predict where and when they might turn up, and that's specifically because it really is at random.

You know, if it was just UFO researchers, well, you know, we could all keep a lookout for each other.

And how, how, if I, if I might, how often, uh, in the reports, Nick, is it vocal versus, uh, some sort of telepathic method?

Witnesses saw these, uh, spherical shaped metallic balls, which were recovered by the Vietnamese military.

So for those who may not be familiar with your first book on the Roswell case, can you tell us a little ab- about Body Snatchers in the Desert?

Yeah.

Well, this was basically based around testimony that came from about six or seven elderly people.

Two or three, excuse me, three of them were from the intelligence world.

One was in the military, and one was in the medical community.

Those were the primary sources, but there were a few others as well.

And it was sort of like a convoluted way in which I got in touch with them, which I talk about in the new book.

... and what these consisted of?

He was able to measure the speed that they were going at by, because he knew the distance between two particular peaks, which were about 50 miles apart, and he timed the passage of these objects by the peaks and came to something like 1,200 miles per hour, which in 1947 was just not done at all anywhere close to that.

He later described the objects as being somewhat delta-shaped and flying as if you were to skip a saucer across a body of water.

And this gave rise to the term flying saucer.

So the question is, was it the chariot of fire that was spinning, or was it a beam that came down and took him up? It's not a far stretch to say that this was an actually, a spinning object that was above him that took him up into it.

Could the, the fire have been some sort of engine? When he's taken up in a whirlwind, you know, you only have to look at, for example, when the space shuttle takes to the skies.

You know, you have this rumbling, roaring, jet, flames, et cetera, et cetera.

If you look at it in that context, you could really place this into a UFO category.
