There's a fascinating comment that brings up what I'll call the Nick Nelson factor.

Referring, of course, to Kit Connor's breakout character in the Netflix series Heartstopper.

Exactly.

The commenter writes, "Some people absolutely will choose to watch something because Nick Nelson is voicing a character." This completely undercuts the purist argument about protecting the legacy of Gene Wilder.

The brutal reality of modern fandom is that a massive segment of the target demographic for this film does not care about Gene Wilder.

Nick says, I have VHS with back-to-back Simpsons since they came out on Tracy Ullman, but no commercials.

So spoiler alert for all of those things.

... like, because they're, they're kids, they're still about to go, like, on their adventures of, like, their lives.

So, like, it's not the end at all for them in any aspect.

Like, for Nick and Charlie obviously, like, for themselves it's like, um, in their relationship, we know like canonically, spoilers, down the road they get married, they have kids, they get a dog or two.

I think it's two dogs or something like that.

This property has evolved through almost every medium.

It started as a web comic, transitioned into beautifully illustrated physical graphic novels, and then blossomed into the beloved live action Netflix series that premiered in 2022, starring Joe Locke and Kit Connor as Charlie Spring and Nick Nelson.

And as of 2026, we are looking at its conclusion with the feature film Heartstopper Forever.

Now, what Heartstopper does visually is a completely different kind of magic trick compared to Maid.

Oh, well, uh, I saw Cyclops, um, was cast.

He is the guy from, um, heartstopper, uh, Nick, Nick Nelson from heartstopper and Cyclops.

That's the one that I saw.
