Nick Hill

I think I told you this last one.

I could not have more respect for an offensive mind and a play caller than I do Nick Hill.

I think he's absolutely dynamite.

I've had an opportunity to watch him from afar and then obviously up close now the past three seasons.

It's crazy.

Nick Hill is still the coach there.

When I was down there covering Southeast Missouri State football in Cape Girardeau, I remember having to go over to Carbondale to cover the SEMO and SIU game, and Nick Hill was still the coach then.

It's been that long.

Yeah, Matt Vitz has had a lot of nice things to say about him.

Vitz is an offensive guy who's got a background coaching quarterbacks, and so is Nick Hill.

And Vitz talked about that, how creative Nick Hill is, how he gets the ball to his best players, how he manipulates coverage.

Now, Curtis Riggs, and we just kind of skimmed over it when Curtis was on the show on Tuesday, which certainly you can go back, happy hour page, SiouxFallsLive.com.

And, and way less rushing yards per game, like they haven't really let him get loose running the football either.

I, I just, I really do think Nick Hill is gonna have to open up this offense a bit to win this game on the road, because like you said, USD is a different animal in the dome.

Yeah.

Um, You know, when you get crossover tape, as an opposing coach, there's always other offenses that you like to watch that are going against the defense that you're about to face.

And I always like... my first couple of years here would turn on Southern Illinois tape.

Cause I just think Nick Hill is so creative, so innovative, knows how to get the football in to his guys, knows how to manipulate coverages.

So it starts there.

So the two guys that are in front of him, Nick Hill and Chris Dyker, they played in 33 and 31 games.

And Dyker's tied with him with 53.

Nick Hill has four more.

And like, double the games.

The last two seasons against SEMO, he has 11 total touchdowns, six rushing, five passing, 628 passing yards, 218 yards rushing, and, of course, the two wins.
