Nick Haines

Now, next week, our full panel of reporters return with the latest political events, including President Trump's visit to Kansas on Monday and the latest on Wyandotte County's lawsuit over the new Chiefs Stadium.

Until then, I'm Nick Haines.

From all of us here at Kansas City PBS, be well, keep calm.

and carry on.

It's an hour-long on-the-ballot special next week.

Would you join us? Until then, I'm Nick Haines from all of us here at Kansas City PBS.

Be well, keep calm, and carry on.

"These Carlton peanuts saying Lachie Whitfield is a risk and taking games away from kids.

They traded Nick Haines and they love him, and he's older.

Well, we've short memories."

[laughs]

So, [laughs] and he came...

Of course, he came good.

He's been a good player his whole life, Nick Haines, but, but he was, he was very good.

It surprised me the, the level he was, he was able to recapture, I suppose-

So it looked like he wanted to add a boy pat on the back or star or gold star or a cookie or something, and that didn't turn out to be...

So, Dave, does it pass the sort of week-in-review Nick Haines' why-should-we-care test?

Well, first of all, he's a United States senator.

Any mistake like this, yes, we should care about.

And on that, we will say our week has been reviewed, courtesy of Channel 41's Charlie Keegan and Eric Wesson.

He's got his head around it.

Apparently he was playing golf with Nick Haines and Ollie Hollands when, when he found out that GWS was shopping him.

Um, so take that for what you will.

He was already with Carlton players when that, when that was leaked to him, which is interesting.

He, he creates a lot of those scoring chains himself off halfback, and he's still a leap for ball winning off halfback.

And to me, he frees up someone like Billy Wilson to play further up the ground.

He gives you insurance so that Nick Newman isn't playing 24 games, Nick Haines isn't playing 24 games.

Uh, you can...

You've got, um, Marchbank, Palmer, Kennedy, Williams, Setterfield, Jacks, Lamb.

There's heaps of guys that came back from GWS to Carlton, and you've got one like Nick Haines that has been very, very handy for the football club.

But there's a heap there that haven't worked.

I'm gonna double down at two because Zach Williams was supposed to arrive as a...

You could very easily talk me into moving Xavier Scott to corner opposite Juice Clark, where I think he would have more of a down-to-down chance to impact games in a way that we've seen him do in the past.

And maybe that opens the door for Nick Haines.

I don't know.

To the point, Def is a very smart football person, so I appreciate those.

On Substack, Dave Helling.

From all of us here at Kansas City PBS, be well, keep calm, and carry on.

So what does that mean, Charlie?

Well, yeah, the Nick Haines Stadium, home of the Chiefs, right? We can get something like that going.

Nick

can't write a check that day.

And on that, we will say our week has been reviewed, courtesy of the stars Yvette Walker and 6 to 10 weekday mornings on 95.7 FM KCMO Talk Radio, Pete Mundo.

Whenever important news is happening, you can bet Charlie Keegan is on the scene at KSHB 41 and news icon and Mr. Kansas City Stack on Substack, Dave Helling.
