Nick Cave

We'd go to Atlanta to see things and to recognize that my hometown was leveling up and growing.

building something that could really anchor these major projects here i wanted to check it out and so i think probably the most memorable time which is not early on in the history but it really landed with me was when the nick cave exhibition was here and so that isn't at the very dawn of frist's history but it was i think it was a pivotal moment for the museum's history it was such thoughtful collaboration by one of our senior curators, Katie Delmay, and the artist Nick Cave on working very intentionally to align community activity and community creativity with the artist's vision.

And put those things together into this show that just felt like larger than life, maybe a little bit like that Red Grooms show.
