Nicholas Galitzine

At the center of everything was He-Man.

So you guys, too, the new movie, the new Masters of the Universe movie stars Nicholas Galitzine, and I've interviewed him before on another show, and I have all the action figures from the new He-Man movie, so it's really cool.

And He-Man is one of the most recognizable action figures of the 1980s.

Blonde hair, massive muscles, power sword, and enough confidence to walk into battle wearing what was essentially a furry pair of shorts.

Nicholas Galitzine stars as Prince Adam, better known, of course, as He-Man.

Camila Mendes plays Teela.

Idris Elba is Duncan, better known as Man-at-Arms.

and the movie doesn't do anything particularly revolutionary with them.

There are some fun wrinkles, the Earth-Eternia connection gives it a slightly different flavor, but underneath all the CGI and swords and giant muscles, this is a very basic heroic destiny story.

Reason number two, Nicholas Galitzine did not wow me.

This is obviously subjective, and I don't think Nicholas Galatzine is bad as Adam.

But then does that set up a franchise that doesn't need theatrical anymore because they already got that marketing push, and now this is, like, a revived IP that has value to the service? I'm, I, I'm just gonna say yes, I think it is, which is unusual.

There's not a lot of examples of this, where you could be like, if they can get Nicholas Galitzine and Camila Mendes and Idris Elba back together again, like, they could just make another one of these movies.

I bet they can.

those who aren't aware, Robin Lee wrote The Idea of You, which was adapted recently into a film starring Anne Hathaway and Alex Galitzine.

Nicholas Galitzine.

Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine.

And it was penned by a black female author, which I think is so interesting.

And I imagine, yeah.

And that is not a Mark Wahlberg movie.

It's Bill Skarsgård and the guy who played He-Man, Nicholas Galitzine.

The movie wants us to believe that Nicholas Galitzine in the real world isn't fucking Jack.
