The letter is from the President of the United States, Richard Nixon, to the President of South Vietnam, Nguyen Van Thieu.

It's a letter from ally to ally.

Two governments that have spent 20 years and 58,000 American lives, not to mention untold numbers of Vietnamese lives, on the same side of the same war.
