Newton South High School

They started with that huge one over at Natick and like, l- l- looks like they've not looked back so far this year.

Newton South obviously has a player we're gonna talk about at some point.

But yeah, who are some of the, the teams that have kind of emerged through the, the chaos, if you will, and surprised you so far this year?

Yeah, I think Wayland's the biggest one.

I know they played, they, they lost to Concord-Carlisle 2-1 in the first meeting.

But I am, I am still a little surprised to see them that high, but they're a team that's on my radar now, obviously.

And they do start this kind of gauntlet stretch where they play, they play CC, they play Newton South, they play Needham next week, and they played Cambridge last night, who's another team that's pretty high in, in the power rankings, and they beat Cambridge.

So they have this four-game stretch where I think we'll learn a lot about them.

No way.

Newton South.

Yeah.

Wow.

of it, honestly.

Well, what does basketball mean to you? After all this experience, where you are, from where you started, from little Veronica, little Ronnie shooting those half-court shots, you were literally the ball girl for our Newton South basketball team, the water girl.

And to being a pro now, what has basketball taught you?

It means growth, like I think the growth that you have as an individual.
