Newark Penn Station

I haven't even had my first coffee this morning.

I'm in an Uber headed to Newark Penn Station.

But I just had to share that ABC's who? What's your name?

You got to get on the 62.

That goes straight, goes around the loop, takes you to Newark Penn Station.

You get off, you get on the train, takes you to Penn Station.

Then you're in Manhattan.

I was like, "No, no.

This is Newark Penn Station.

This is a little different over here." [laughs] Wild situation.

Then from there I sc- I scoop you up, and then we go to, um- You know, by me.

It took me less than a half hour.

I got to Newark Penn, and the MKs met me there, and we drove around.

I mean, they drove me.

to some of the nearby towns and things, and I actually got to cover a little ground in Jersey, and we just spent hours together.

New Jersey Transit says all bus service in and out of New York City is suspended until further notice.

All train service for New Jersey Transit into Penn Station, Newark, is suspended.

They are trying to get as many trains and as much equipment available to get people outbound to New Jersey.

Metro North is suspended both ways, and the Long Island Railroad has only some rudimentary outbound service being reported right now coming out of Penn Station, nothing being permitted inbound.

We've got bumper-to-bumper delays coming down the southbound to England through way into the Cross Bronx, which is tied up from the Bruckner all the way to the GWB.

As I indicated, all Hudson River crossings are shut down in both directions.

And Ralph, the hospital officials here telling us they have five victims inside, all with minor injuries, fortunately, but they're expecting dozens more.

In fact, what is happening is the victims are being transported across the Hudson by ferry and other means.

And then the, then the, the last two of us that were together, we split up because of where we had to go.

So I was able to take a bus, no, I was able to take a train, uh, to Newark Broad Street Take a bus from Newark Broad Street as close as I could get to Newark Penn Station, and then walk to Newark Penn Station, and then take the train down to the New Jersey coastline.

Um, so essentially, I walked in the door about thirteen hours after I arrived in the office that day.

And, um, it was very sad 'cause when you were driving home, um, you know, as you passed the trains, the, the cars in the parking lot at the train station, there were still so many cars in the lot.
