I mean, a lot of people don't talk about it, but...

In the early days, I went to New York Film Academy.

In the early days of New York Film Academy, I think it was just because they were so fucking cheap over there.

There was no sync sound.

And so all the stuff that you were doing was shot on 60 millimeter black and white reversal film.

Because I mean, I'm a lot older than probably a lot of your audience, but we didn't have these cell phones where we can just make movies and put it on the web and it can go viral.

We had to like really meet students from New York Film Academy and do all this stuff, but you had to do it for

free.

So I understood like, You know, just with being a good person, but you have to just maintain good relationships.

Now, Lana Condor is a Vietnamese-American actress who made her film debut in X-Men Apocalypse in 2016, portraying a classic comic book character, Jubilee.

She took her first acting class during her freshman year of high school and then studied for a summer at the New York Film Academy.

Condor and her family then moved to LA for her sophomore year of high school, where she auditioned and landed a coveted spot in the Los Angeles Ballet and also studied at the Yale Summer Conservatory for Actors.

Condor's star absolutely exploded when she starred in the Netflix trilogy of To All The Boys series and most recently the prime video film The Devil's Mouth.

They study that individual's life.

They look at his habits.

And I was filming a TV show in Canada playing as an extra, being a hockey player in a hockey sitcom.

And I moved to take a course in filmmaking at the New York Film Academy.

and before that were you like growing up where you did you think you might be a hockey player that was

And really kind of like the rules kept me safe, you know, the rules keep you out of trouble.

And that followed me really, I ended up going to the New York Film Academy after I graduated college.

And that was the first time that I would say that I was exposed to the world.

Because, you know, I'd been homeschooled.

I'd gone to a small Christian college.

And when I was at the New York Film Academy, I just met people from all over the world, all different walks of life.

I was in their films.

We were creating art all over New York.

I coach some actors that come to me.

But mainly when COVID hit, I was teaching at the New York Film Academy.

And they wanted me to teach online, Zoom.

And I just didn't feel comfortable.
