New World Translation

They will have their Bible.

Now it's going to be on their iPad or iPhone or phone or the New World Translation.

But you are studying a book.

You are studying a magazine.

right? They had the Bible in their hands.

They're at least their old Testament, their scriptures in the scroll in the synagogue, for a lack of better terms, I say in their hands, you know what I mean? And they still didn't know Jesus when he was right in front of them.

So my, what we're trying to get out is you may have the old and new Testament in your hands, which we're going to get into in the second episode in terms of the new world translation and the differences from the Bible we have.

But listen, you may have that in your hands, right? But what if, what if there's a lens you're actually reading that through? And by the time you get to meet Jesus, he looks at you just like he looked at the Pharisees.

Just a couple weeks ago, I got done filming two more Jehovah's Witnesses episodes with Jason Contino.

One was on false prophecies, the other was on the New World Translation and the changes that they have made and are those changes justified.

And right after we got done filming, really, it was like a few days later, he reached out to me and he's like, hey, someone... who's coming out of the organization is giving me a special update right now on the blood transfusion policy.

And if you're anywhere on Facebook, on social media, you're probably seeing that as well.

Of course, they're not gonna bring their Bible.

They're gonna bring a, uh, the, the New World Translation.

Right.

That's not a Bible.

Again, that confusion comes because they don't understand the Greek language and the grammar of the Greek language in John 1, verse 1.

And that's why I have said on this program, I said before, there's not a credible Greek scholar that would endorse the New World Translation that the JW has done.

Not a credible, any part in the world that would endorse their translation.

Of course, people who are in the movement itself have no way of verifying it unless they themselves study the Greek and then somebody can show them that this is not what is being taught literally.

I had not started deconstructing yet.

I was still kind of reading the New World Translation, but also reading the King James Version, but I was also getting high at the same time, so and none of it was really sticking.

[laughs] Yeah.

You know? And so I took my son to go meet his grandparents at their, um, memorial, and this was the final nail in the coffin for me.

It's a translation, translation of the Greek scriptures.

Okay.

You know? And this is one of the most valuable purchase I probably will ever make because it actually deconstructs their New World Translation, not only from the 1950s, the 1970s, 1980s, and the new recent one in 2013, but it breaks it down why their translations are incorrect.

And this is their own literature doing it, you know?
