In response to a question on the matter, UMNO's Secretary General Ashraf Washi Dusuki said Negeri Sembilan's unique customs and royal institutions should be respected and kept free from political and public interference.

According to the New Straits Times, he stated that his party has never been involved in nor interfered with these matters.

Ashraf added that UMNO is the only political party whose constitution explicitly calls for its members to uphold the institution of the Malay rulers.

He added that protecting and upholding the Minangkabau customary law, Adat Perpatiah, as practiced in Negeri Sembilan, was also one of the party's commitments during its election campaign for the state's polls.

And then I started reading local magazines, newspaper.

I wrote in to New States Times, Cars, Bikes and Trucks.

That was how I began my career, actually.

I wrote in frequently until they called me up and offered me a job.

But people who do not understand cars, they think that that brand is really, really bad.

But the actual reality is some of those brands, they even paid to be mentioned by Clarkson.

To even be the bad guy Yeah So every Okay when I was In New States Times We have a lot of people Calling us up Because they say that They demand They demand Not us They demand To review cars Because they think That they can be The next Jeremy Clarkson Because they speak Good English They speak British English Really They drive nice cars And all We got fed up Until one day We gave them A chance I did that with a few of my friends.

None of them came back with a story.

As a mentor, actually, you have to be a better listener.

So I'm the, you know, my background is being the star, right? Literally, the star newspaper, the NST, I have a lot of practice answering their questions with me being the star, right? But that reverses the role.

Completely different challenge.

Right.
