Now with all of that said, come gather around and let me tell you the story of the murder of Liz Reeser and the attempted murder but survival of her best friend Brandy Hicks.

Our story today is going to take place in a place called Dover, Ohio, and this is a small town that borders New Philadelphia and is about 68 miles south of Cleveland.

It was in this place that at about 1.30 a.m. on Thursday, May 25th of the year 2000, an off-duty police officer was driving down the road coming home from a shift when he saw somebody walking on the side of the road and And we see this person, they're kind of stumbling a bit.

So he thinks that this is somebody who had been drinking because there was a bar that was just down the road.

They wanted to hang out, spend time together, chat, watch some movies.

So they decided at about 9.30 p.m. to head over to the Hollywood Video.

This was in the Newtown Mall, which was in nearby New Philadelphia.

So the two went inside and they spent their time looking at movie covers, discussing the choir banquet at church that they had just gone to at the Buckeye Career Center.

And last night was in New Philadelphia at Legacy Church.
